ARDASEER CURSETJEE (1808-1877), THE FIRST INDIAN FELLOW OF THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF LONDON

Acquaintance with  steam technology under colonial auspices led to the introduction, by  Cursetjee’s descendents , of steam machinery in textile  through  the establishment of Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Mills and Century Mills in Bombay.
